Configuring Your Email >>>

Retrieving your Email

To download your mail you must configure your POP3 account following the procedure below...

Firstly open Microsoft Outlook Express and click on the Tools option from the menu bar. Now click on the Accounts option within the Tools menu, and select Add, from here you will be asked details about yourself and your company etc.

Once you have entered your Full Name and Email address, you will be presented with a screen for setting up Outlook with your e-mail server.

Leave the default value of POP3 from the drop down menu. All of the virtual servers we sell come with a Pop3 account.

Now you will need to tell Outlook Express about the e-mail servers for sending and receiving e-mails. Simply enter in the Incoming e-mail server field the following:-

mail.mynewsite.com

Now enter the Outgoing mail server field:-

mail.mynewsite.com

Now click on Next to take you to the Mail Logon Screen. From here you will be asked for your username and password (these were supplied in your welcome email). This is to authenticate your identity, so that you can send and receive your e-mails.

Make sure you type both your username and password correctly (including the case of the letters) as you will not be able to retrieve your e-mail otherwise.

You are now ready to receive e-mails on your virtual server.

How do I send mail?

In order to send mail you need to click on the 'My server requires authentication' tab. You can find this by clicking on the Tools option from the menu bar. Now click on the Accounts option within the Tools menu, and select the Properties tab. Now click the Servers tab. Next click the 'My server requires authentication' check box. Now click the Settings button. Make sure the box 'Use the same settings as my incoming mail server' is checked. If this box is not present in your version of Outlook, please just enter your username and password in the boxes.

What is your Anti Spam policy?

ChristianWebspace does not allow spamming of any kind through it servers. This includes sending mail through another companies server promoting a domain name that is hosted on our servers.

Any user found spamming is subject to their account being de-activated without notice.

What is E-mail forwarding?

E-mail forwarding is a way of sending mail to one e-mail address (for example sales@yourdomain.com) and having it automatically forwarded to another address (for example yourcompany@your-isp.com).

Unlimited e-mail forwarding is included with all our accounts. To set-up e-mail forwarding just login to your Control Panel and enter any additional forwarding addresses in the email forwarding box.

What use are additional POP3 boxes?

Additional POP3 accounts are ideal to give out to different members of staff in your company. Each POP3 account has a separate password so only authorised staff can access their POP3 account. To add another POP3 account, simply create another user from the control panel, or email support with the details and it will be created.
